Desert Reading Intervention offers individualized literacy intervention for students who are below grade level or struggling with anything related to literacy. Instruction is structured, explicit, and evidence-based, focusing on the skills students need to become confident, independent readers and writers.

What this is

This service is designed for students reading below grade level (TK/PK–12), students with learning disabilities, and English Learners who benefit from structured literacy instruction. It also supports middle and high school students who struggle with academic reading and writing.

Who this is for

Each student begins with identifying why reading is difficult for that student, not just what is hard. Instruction is delivered through targeted 1:1 sessions that address specific skill gaps, with ongoing progress monitoring and regular parent updates. The goal is to build lasting reading skills that support long-term independence.
